Siri Oko Fo (Mending Fences) a short film which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival is creating a buzz in the world of short films.

Co-Written by Actress Ebbe Bassey and Director Heather Murphy and Produced by Josh Hetzler and Ed Roy Mending Fences brings a tale of family, love, secrets and traditions centered around Immigration and a shocking plot.

The Title Siri Oko Fo is translated to mean

When you take a nail out of a fence, no matter how much you try to fill it, fix it or cover it up, the damage has been done. You can never truly mend the fence.

With Actress Ebbe Bassey playing the Lead Role as “Eme” and Actor Kola Ogundiran in supporting as “Essien” Siri Oko Fo tells the tale of Eme a Nigerian Immigrant who settles in Harlem only to discover that her brother has been harboring a deep secret.

Born in the Bronx but raised in Calabar, Nigeria Ebbe Bassey has made an appearance on TV’S Law and Order SVU and starred in a Virgin Mobile commercial with R & B star Kelis.

She has also been profiled in several magazines and newspapers such as the Nigerian Sunday Guardian, Daily Independence’s Positive People and Momentum MV Magazine for her work as an artist.

The Director Heather Murphy’s career behind the camera began at MTV in Los Angeles as a production assistant where she quickly evolved into a coordinator and eventually moved up to their Development Department where she began writing.

The Film has already received praise for its plot and characters setting a new standard for short film makers around the world.
