Usher opened the show with his single “Love In this Club” he looked so fatigued…and it was so sad to see him perform only one song!
See what Tameka has done to my usher…Album coming soon but only 1 song is radio ready…great!
DL Hughley hosted the show…to bad all the black comics were too busy to host the BET Awards cause for DL to get the call…nobody must have been available!
Diary, I saw Chris Brown rocking a mohawk in his gucci ensemble looking like a totally hot fucking mess sitting next to that rhino head rihanna! I mean we know they are a couple do they have to copy everything Beyonce and Jay-Z do? Anyways someone needs to do a recount in the pools for best Male R’n'B cause i dont know why Chris Brown would win Best Male over J Holiday… unless the BET Officials are between 13 years old and younger (Debra looks like shes clocking on 14 soon)!
So then Young Jeezy comes on right and I cant hear a fucking word he’s saying…hes shouting the whole time then Kanye comes on and revived the crowd..spotted a couple of people that got hit with the turpedo’s coming from Jeezy’s mouth…i.e spit
Anyways Diary BET gave the best Male Athlete of the Year award to an absent Kobe Bryant who prolly is still in the bathroom at the civic center crying over his loss to the celtics.
then Keisha Cole performed first Sent from Heaven her entrance? a fucking pole…uhmmm yeah diary a pole! then she changed into white vixen shorts and matching top for “Let It Go” and brought on Lil-Kim but Missy was absent. Lil Kim is getting huge…could have sworn i saw the stage shake…but dont get me wrong I’m not one of those people that want size 2 models running around but lets be real diary Size’s 2’s faint from lack of food on stage like Kelly Rowland and we love Kim more than Kelly so were going to allow her to eat cause we cant just have size 2 models running around!
Missy Elliot who was absent won the Best Female hip hop artist although we haven’t heard a song from here in a while!
Then Balding Super Writer Neyo graced the stage looking like a cheap replica of Micheal Jackson..oops! did i just say that? he’s songs are so cliche…its always about the power of somebody’s love over him…we are so sick of that bullshit neyo…write about that!
Ashanti and LL Cool J presented the Best New artist to The Dream (Sorry Soulja Boy…BET likes Ice T better lol) and then Miss Alicia Keys graced the stage… wow she looked good except what she was wearing…excuse me…i was wondering who died and left her that to wear! Because its BET Alicia you dont have to overdo it sometimes..but nevertheless a stunning performance with female groups like SWV, En Vogue and TLC Minus left eye joining in it was a very great moment in music history…T boz was teary eyed like she always is performing without lefteye but she didnt let it bother her too much from working it!
Necy Nash [resented the award for Best Male Hip-Hop looking stunning as ever… she is really funny im surprised why she didnt host instead of hughley… she made a great joke about how adopting white children improves credit… i have to give it to her though she is coming up!… Kanye won best hip-hop over Common which i thought was ridiculous on BET’S part I mean…WTF????
Diary would you believe Kanye didnt even thank anyone… one would say he has changed a lot no more fussing over lost awards and ish….Rihanna’s performance was blah standing in one place and singing her song and watching Chris Brown sing along like a kid on Sesame Street was pretty pathetic and annoying.
I got sleepy for a while missed the other boring stuff but then woke up when Lil Wayne started his performance…. damn I dont give a fuck what nobody says Wayne is hot on the mic!…I had goosebumps all through he killed the show and the fact he was at the end was great cause nothing could top that….
The BET Awards this year for me was saved Diary by the Artist of course there was some boring parts like when Al Green decided to sing for a lifetime because he received the award! We love al green and we love his music but dude sings for too long damn!
